Online as Boreder

Nathan Jackson.

I’m a software engineer with 7+ years of professional experience building customer-facing APIs, distributed services, and data-rich products.

I work with product teams to take ideas through to production. Along the way, I’ve led complex migrations, improved reliability, and built tools for other engineers.

Away from work, I build around questions that interest me and problems I’ve run into myself. This is a home for that work.

A few things to explore

Example projects and descriptions for now. The real stories will follow.

01 Web experiment

Small Hours

A quieter place to collect the things you want to come back to. An experiment in making a useful tool feel a little less busy.

Design, development, and learning along the way.

02 Creative coding

A Little Playground

Small interactions with no particular destination. A collection of playful ideas about movement, colour, and what happens when you click.

Built for the pleasure of figuring something out.

03 Everyday tools

Field Notes

A simple home for loose thoughts and unfinished ideas. Exploring how much you can take away while leaving everything you need.

An ongoing exercise in keeping things simple.

A little context

Curiosity is a good starting point.

This is where a little more about me will go. The things I enjoy building, what I’m learning, and the ideas I keep coming back to.

For now, think of this page as a work in progress. A small space that can grow as the projects do.
